The first colloidal mills was made in Germany in the decade 30. Originally were rotor of several stages and always its design was conical. In the decade 70 it improve the design to rotors/stators of a single stage. The materials used for their manufacture are stainless steel AISI 316, being able to use steel temperings that increase to double their duration for the rotor/stator. 

The colloidal mills are used generally to make emulsions. The manufacture can also be about to enrich the phase of dispersion gradually. There are different types from colloidal mills and their basic characteristicses are:

* Being the conical rotor and stator are very near togheter, the approach between both must but be fit the possible thing to obtain the best result of the emulsion. The approach between rotor and stator is obtained with a regulation steering wheel.

The mall pillow of the Colloidal Mill consists of a body within as they are lodged a ROTOR and a STATOR. The ROTOR denominated movable part has mounted on the axis of the motor and the fixed part, the STATOR, slides within the body of the mill. The regulation of the space can be obtained that separates the rotor of the stator by means of the regulation steering wheel. Turning this steering wheel in a sense or another one it produces a displacement of the stator in relation to the rotor being obtained therefore a greater or smaller space between these pieces.

The mill must be mounted on a firm, horizontal and flat surface not being indispensable to affirm it.

Electrical Connection:
The switch or coupling box must become to the motor in such form that the rotation of the rotor is in the opposite sense of the needles of the clock.

The rotor and stator do not have to clear the one with the other. In order to avoid it the mill comes provided with a fit adjustable top common in factory. Modifying this position it changes to the minimum opening between rotor and stator. The regulation itself is to find the optimal position of work of the machine by means of the regulation steering wheel.

t is recommended that periodically the state of the detents of the motor body-axis is controlled. The duration of these detents and their sealed power of depends on the amount of hours of use and the characteristics of the product that is processed in the mill.

* Wash the machine after each use
* Not to strike the pieces when disarming the mill nor when arming it. Plastic hammer is necessary to strike a piece.
* Have a good and safe electrical connection.

Olives (paste), dressings, cacao, caramels, sweet of milk, eatable edulcorantes, essences, fruits (pulp), fats, citric ice creams, juice, butter of peanut, mayonnaises, mustard, paste of fish, vegetable paste, paté of foie, cheeses, cheeses cream, sauces several, sausages (paste) tomato (sauce), juices of fruits.

Lubricating oils, adhesives, waxes, colorantes, disinfectants, asphalt emulsion, lubricant, insecticide flotables, fats, soaps, mica, paintings, resins, silicones, inks.

Humectantes bases, cream to shave, toothpastes, dispersions several, syrups, vaccines (veterinary)
